Who We Are

Farcaster is a protocol for building social networks. It’s an open network that promises that users will always own their relationship with their audience and that developers will always have the freedom to extend the network.

Warpcast is a company building software for Farcaster. We’re a team of engineers contributing to the protocol and building the first application called Warpcast. If you haven’t tried out Warpcast yet, DM @dwr on Twitter for an invite.

Why Us

We’re deliberately building a different kind of startup influenced by our product, our protocol and experiences at previous companies. Here are the things we believe set us apart:

  1. Most startups are overstaffed, and have too many meetings and people problems. We avoid this by keeping our team very lean — everyone ships code, is very senior and autonomous.

  2. Most startups pay too little, because they hire too fast and spend on unnecessary things. We spend most of our money on the team, and our offers are more generous than most companies at our scale.

  3. Work life balance isn’t a zero-sum game, because you can always be more efficient with your time. You can build ambitious things and have a fulfilling life outside of work by making the right tradeoffs and focusing on continuous self-improvement.
